"Giả trai"? "Giả gái"? No these are more likely stand for "trap", right? Beat me. I knew this. I just find it hard to use it in normal conversation when i want to mention about "double standard"; it just sounds weird. And I doubt anyone could understand what i mean either. Or is it just me?
Only you. Try google it in some well-written article to see how to properly use it in context. And no, "giả trai" and "giả gái" cannot universally capture the definition of that word. I think it is simply a deficiency in Vietnamese language. We really need new words.
Damn it, I got an overall score of 6.0 for IETLS .. I know that this test doesn't have a fail or pass but does that score of mine exceptable for a 17 years old boy? Don't want to brag about it but... the night before taking the test, I was fighting the last boss in Xenoblade, so I think my score's pretty acceptable... (If you think the last sentence sounds annoying, please ignore it)
6.0? no offence but that's about my brother's level who is in 10th grade. imo 7.0 and above is considered acceptable, else it is just a waste of time and money
Component scores? It's quite hard to imagine how it's possible to get a 6.0 overall. Even with 7,7,6,6 in LRWS respectively, you should have got a 6.5..
Why the hell should you study for an English test? I mean yes, you should, for a period of time prior to the test. But a night before? lol no...
well, tbh, Idk lol. I just take a look at the formula book and that's it for any major English test. there are so many obscure structure you never use IRL
Some toad-like poem for New Year: Sadness and grief gone away. No more regret no more hate. Let joy and bliss flourish. You can achieve what you wish. A Vietnamese one as a bonus. [SPOIL]Xuân mở rộng tay đón chúng ta. Cho hồn thơ thẩn để bay xa. Năm mới là đây sao vội vã? Lắng đọng tâm tư với mọi nhà. [/SPOIL] Happy New Year, my friends.
That's a pretty low L and S score. Guess you should practise a LOT more. Btw HNY 2013 guys. All the best to you and your family. - - - Updated - - - It's pretty decent imo, although 1 syllable missing in the 3rd line makes it sound a bit awkward
You should start avenging your defeat by spending at least 30 minutes a day exercising monoloquies in front of a camera. And be grammatically accurate, remember.
Happy New Year, human. This might be necro-posting but i think the proper word for "cross-dressing" are "cải nam trang" and, however I don't know if it would work, "cải nữ trang".
Yeah, that's the problem. We don't have a unisex word for that in Vietnamese. btw, happy happy my ass.
I know nothing about English poem rules... I just watched a lot of Charmed series, learning how they wrote their spells and put it in my own literature works...
Personally I always find translating english into some hybrid Mandarin-Vietnamese extremely awkward, if not outright weird, like the translation of Sword Art Online And if I have not said it yet, happy new year guys. all the best to you and your family
