    Green Equipment:

The below green items are regular world drops from non-elite mobs at level 60-62. Some of it is pretty awesome, some of it is so-so and some obviously has pro's and con's. For instance, while my Rogue is now around 5500 HP, it came at the cost of critical hits.

    PVP Rewards:

The PVP system is being reworked in BC to be more like a currency system. So instead of grinding your ass for 4 months to get to Grand Marshal, you will instead get Honor Points that you can spend on the items you want, as you would with regular currency.

So, what is some of the stuff available?

Tones of stuff and below are some of the items you can find in the PVP Barracks in Stormwind and the costs for them. There is just way too much to list so I will show a few loot examples of costs and then the loot itself

    [IMG] [IMG]

Since I have not been into a Battleground yet, I do not know how the loot costs of the items balances out with the new Honor reward system. If you get 3-5k honor per Alterac Valley run like you do in retail WoW, then I think the PVP rewards will be too easy to get. However as I said, I don’t know how they give out Honor now.

You may also notice from the screenshot that some mounts are available for purchase using the existing marks of honors you get out of AV, AB and WSG. As you can see, the cap will obviously be raised from 20 to 30.

    Mounts:

As everybody knows, Flying Mounts are being included in Burning Crusade and will be accessible by players who are level 70. They will only be flyable in Outlands. I have managed to get a few screenshots of the vendors selling mounts, so you can see the prices yourselves. Eyonix recently posted on the Blizzard Forums that the prices are subject to change, but as a recap:

Expert Riding will cost 720 gold, Artisan Riding will cost 4999 and the mounts themselves are between 90 and 180. All of this is subject to change and there will no doubt be some quest reward mounts and faction related mounts as well. I do not know if you need to purchase Journeyman Riding (the old Epic Horse riding skill) in order to get Expert Riding.

    Outlands

While two new races are all fine and dandy, the bulk of the content that will be featured in The Burning Crusade is located in the new area called The Outlands, which is directly aimed at leveled 60+ characters. The Outlands is made up of 7 new map “zones”, a new capital city, numerous 5 man instances and raids, world PVP in each zone and hundreds of new quests, items, monsters, etc, etc for the player to enjoy, explore and discover. The amount of content is sheer mind boggling as far as expansions go.
The first thing new players will want to do is just get to The Outlands. This is done by flying or riding to the Blasted Lands and then going to the south part of the zone to find the Dark Portal. Once you have found the Dark Portal, you can simply ride right into it and after a short loading screen, you will find yourself in the Hellfire Peninsula zone in Outlands.
Welcome to Outlands and specifically, the Hellfire Peninsula zone.
The Outlands side of the Dark Portal is impressive and for me, easily one of the most impressive sites in WoW….
    [IMG] [IMG]
After you get done looking around, you will notice that dead ahead of you and down the stairs, there is a huge Pit Lord and other smaller demons trying to charge the Dark Portal, however a small party of Horde and Alliance are fighting to keep them off. If you venture too close, you can easily agro one of these mobs and die.
    [IMG] [IMG]
To the left and right of where you exit the Dark Portal are alliance and horde areas, including a couple of flight paths you can take to your respective faction town in Hellfire Peninsula (HP). The Alliance flight path takes you to Honor Hold and the Horde flight path takes you to Thrallmar, however since I am an Alliance player, I will discuss the Alliance side.

Honor Hold is its own little town that includes an Inn, Keep, flight path, a few basic shops, a good selection of Master Trainers that will take your trade skills to 375 and a whole slew of quests. I recommend exploring this little town thoroughly so you do not miss any of the quests or Master Trainers. Honor Hold also has its own reputation faction.

    Hellfire Peninsula:

Hellfire Peninsula has to be one of the largest zones I have ever seen in WoW and overall, it is very well done. Size wise, I would put it about the same size as Eastern and Western Plaguelands put together. HP has two alliance towns which are Honor Hold and the Temple of Telhamat, a flight path connecting both towns and the Dark Portal, the Dark Portal itself, several smaller “quest hubs” and then the main attraction in this zone is the Hellfire Citadel and the Path of Glory that connects Hellfire Citadel to the Dark Portal. The monsters in this zone range from level 58 to 63 and of course, there are Elite’s wandering the area to watch out for.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Here is a 360 Panoramic shot of Hellfire Peninsula:

As for questing in Hellfire Peninsula, players can expect a very good mix of quests to do. Some of the quests such as the “Bombing Run” quest are a huge step for Blizzard and I hope we see more quests like this in the future.

Like all other Outlands zones, Hellfire Peninsula also includes World PVP. If you look on the map above, you will notice 3 towers in the center of the map. These towers work in that the faction that controls all three towers, also gets a 5% zone wide damage bonus, so it is definitely in the interest of players to try and control it. I did try a little bit of this, but I got pwned pretty quickly by a level 67 Shaman. Overall though, I think these will be hotly contested due to their proximity to the Alliance and Horde towns in the area.

Throughout HFC, one will also find new Ore and Herbs to gather. The new ore type is called Fel Iron and the two Herbs that spawn here are Felweed and Dreaming Glory. You will even find plenty of Rich ThoriumVeins and Fel Iron Ore veins around here as well. Due to the Rich Thorium Veins here, I would venture to guess that the price of Arcane Crystals will plummet after the expansion, however it is also entirely possible that jewelcrafting will make plenty of use out of Arcane Cystals in which case they could go up…

    Zangarmarsh

Zangarmarsh is the zone directly to the west of Hellfire Peninsula and is an alien world dominated by super huge mushrooms and some very cool new monsters. Visually, it is probably my favorite zone in Outlands. This extremely large zone is intended for level 62-64 players and has an instance in the very center of the map called Coilfang Reservoir, which has three 5 man instance wings in addition to a 10 man Raid Wing
    Zoom
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

The main alliance town in Zangarmarsh is called Telredor and is located on top of one of the giant mushrooms in the zone, and is accessible via an elevator. The town includes the usual shops, quests, an inn and a flight path.

The world PVP aspect of this zone has players trying to take over two towers and a graveyard in the center of the map. There is also a PVP Mark of Honor vendor here that allows you to turn in your Marks for level 62 Blue Loot of fairly good quality.

    Other Outlands Zones

At this point, I have not actually played through much of the content in Outlands, however I did take a run through a few zones that are open to us and I have included some screenshots below.

    Nagrand:
Nagrand is a large zone that has a very nice campy feel to it and some cool vistas to see. In general, it is a green area with huge trees, waterfalls and deep valleys. The area is intended for level 64 to 67 people and has several PVP type arenas here as well. On the far east side of the zone is Shattrath City. In many ways, the theme here reminded me of the Shire from Lord of the Rings. I believe World PVP in this area is similar to Arathi Basin
    Zoom
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Shattrath City:
This is the main city that appears in Outlands. It has the usual trainers, shops, flight paths and Battleground NPC’s.
    Zoom
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

However a few unique features to Shattrath that players will need to be aware of but may change as beta progresses:

    • There is a Token Vendor for level 70 Dungeons here. See further below for more information on Tokens.
    • Players will not have access to an Auction House here and Blizzard commented that this is by design. I agree with this decision as it will assure the old cities do not die out but I can see Blizzard bowing to pressure to change this at some point.
    • There are portals here that will take you back to the old capitol cities, so as long as you hearth in town, you can portal to the old cities and come back easily.
    • There is a bank here that is accessible through faction. I have heard rumors that this may act as a second bank for players…
    • Shattrath has its own faction.

    Terokkar Forest:
Terokkar forest is another zone that is intended for level 62 to 65 players. It is also connected to the south west part of Hellfire Peninsula, which is good because it could help split up people moving from Hellfire Peninsula after they reach level 62. The main feature here is that Shattrath City is on the far West side of the zone and the south side of the zone holds Auchindoun, which has four level 64-70 instances in it. World PVP seems to have players taking control of a few different towers in this area.
    Zoom
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Auchindoun:
Not much to say here so I am just showing a screenshot. If I can get in the instance, I will post more info about it at a later date:

    Shadowmoon Vale:
Shadowmoon Vale is a dark, high level Instance that holds the final and toughest Raid Instance called The Black Temple. For those of you familiar with Warcraft lore, this is where Illidan is waiting to kick your ass. The zone is nice and has a spooky feeling to it that reminds me of Mount Doom from Lords of the Ring.

    [IMG][IMG]

    Blade’s Edge Mountains and Netherstorm:
The last two zones are Blade's Edge Mountains and Netherstorm. These two areas are currently closed in beta.

    Leveling:

Burning Crusade will be increasing the level cap from 60 to level 70 and with this increase, players can obviously expect to spend a lot of time leveling their character to 70. There are also a few rumors I would like to dispel at this time as well.

First, as of the beta, there is no longer Rest XP after level 60 and Blizzard said this may change, but I hope it doesn’t. You can also level up by doing quests or killing monsters, just like in the retail version of WoW. Lastly, you can get XP by fighting outside of The Outlands.

XP required from 60 to 61 is 415500k and for 61 to 62 it is 473900.

The average same level mob gives you about ~500+xp per kill (it ramps up) and most level 60 quests give about 6000-7000xp from what I have noticed and of course, this ramps up.

It took me about 12 hours worth of questing and grinding to get to level 61, however I did spend some time gawking around.

Overall, I suspect an average gamer is looking at a good 150-200 hours to get to level 70 but keep in mind that is only an estimate based on MY leveling to 61 and conversations with other people and is subject to change with tweaking. Some people will level faster and some will go much slower. I’ve always felt that a MMORPG is as much about the ride to the level cap as it is about getting to the level cap itself, so I have no issue with a longer leveling curve and I don’t see why people are so fixated on it. Myself, I want a longer curve this time around.

    Quests:

For all of you who love doing the Quests that WoW has to offer, the good news is that the expansion is full of them. I have done about 30 quests in Hellfire Peninsula so far and I still have a tone left to do, making me think there are about 50+ quests available in this zone. While most of the quests are similar to things you may have already done, I did stumble across some awesome quests like this one quest that has you flying on a Griffon and dropping bombs on monsters on the ground. The quest puts you on rails, but all you need to do is target and destroy a certain amount of mobs and it’s a blast.

People will also be happy to know that most of the quests return 2 gold or more, with many of the first few quests giving 4-6 gold.

    Flightpaths:

Flight Paths are alive and well in Outlands and they are plentiful.
    Zoom
    [IMG]

    Druid Tree Form:

For all you druids out there, here you go.

    Trade Skills:

As far as Trade Skills in BC go, there are two main changes. The first change is that Grand Master trade skills are now available, raising the skill cap from 300 to 375. With this change a host of new crafting items, recipes, formulas and enchants for people to use. The second is the addition of jewelcrafting.

    Faction and Reputation:

I have not really noticed any changes to Faction. You still grind your ass off…. However, if you go to Honor Hold, you can visit the Quartermaster near the front gates who has a few recipes and other items to sell you at varying reputation levels. I am not impressed with what the NPC was offering at all and I hope this gets tweaked better.

    Difficulty:

The new level 60 Outland monsters seem to be a bit harder than existing level 60 monsters, mostly due to the increase in stamina that all mobs have gotten in Outlands. Do I feel they are too hard? Not at all and my rogue I was playing is in green loot for the most part. Obviously, those of you in blue or better armor will have an advantage but the level 60’s in green armor from retail WoW will quickly find that the green loot that is dropped in Outlands is vastly superior to their old green armor, so after a few upgrades, difficulty will start to balance out.

Instance bosses DO have more “twists” to them though, but that is to be expected. After two years, people are very experienced and content needs to be ramped up to meet that demand.

    Soloing/Casual/Grouping/Raiding:

Soloing is alive and well in The Burning Crusade and it will pose no difficulty for people to get to level 70 alone. Obviously, the best equipment is inside Instances so if you do not group a little bit, you may miss some of the loot. As in the first 60 levels, there are going to be some Elite Quests that you will need help with.

Raiding at level 70+ should be more diverse in Burning Crusade as there are many more instances to do. The lack of 40 man raids is a good and bad thing in my opinion. On one hand, it will be far easier for many more Guilds to get 20 and 25 man raids going and coordinated than it currently is for doing 40 mans. On the flip side, those that are 40 man based are going to need to put some work into making their members happy, but this should be doable for Guilds that care. I totally understand why Blizzard took this route but it will be interesting to see how it works out in the end.

    Jewelcrafting:

The second big change is that Jewelcrafting has been added to the game, and it looks like it will be a blast for people who venture into this trade.

At its most general, Jewelcrafting works in that it has 3 main features:

    -Jewel cutting:

This is the actual cutting of a gem, so that you can fit it into a socked item. Below are a screenshot of a Jewelcutting recipe and Jewel that is for sale.
    Zoom
    [IMG]

    -Prospecting:

This is where you take base “ore” metals like Thorium or Iron and prospect for a gem. The ore is used up in the process. You can still find gems through regular mining as well.

    -Jewelry Making:

This is where you make actual rings, trinkets, etc. The recipes can be bought off of vendors or found.

There are going to be dozens of different jewel cutting recipes out there and I can see a whole new economy opening up around Jewelcrafting alone. As for what gems and stuff to start hoarding, well those could change before BC is released and honestly, the best things will only be available in Outlands anyways. So should you horde Arcane Crystals and other gems? Perhaps, but with Rich Thorium Mines spawning all over the place, there will be easier to find and of course I don’t know what Arcane Crystals can be cut into so I cant offer any good advice.

    First Aid:

First Aid gets a shot in the arm with Burning Crusade in the form of a skill bump to 375 and the introduction of two new bandage types:

Netherweave Bandage –330 Skill, 2800 Damage Healed over 8 seconds.

Heavy Netherweave Bandage -360 Skill, 3400 Damage Healed over 8 seconds.

As you can guess, these use Netherweave Cloth, which is commonly dropped by level 60+ monsters in Outlands.

To learn this new skill, one must first buy the Master First Aid book off a special NPC Vendor located in Hellfire Peninsula. This will allow you to raise your skill to 375. At this point, you need to make Heavy Runecloth Bandages until your skill is 330, then you can use the Netherweave Bandage book.

    Alchemy:

My main character is an alchemist but sadly he is on a second account and not on the beta server so I do not have much to report. However, I did hear of people “discovering” new recipes by not actually using a recipe, just having certain herbs in their inventory, so if that is in the game, it could be a really cool feature. You can expect the usually stuff here, such as +35 Agility potions, new healing potions, etc. I am sure there will be a few twists.

Three new herb types I remember picking up so far are:

    Felweed (300 Herbalism Skill)

    Dreaming Glory (315 Herbalism Skill)
    Terocone (325 Herbalism Skill)

There are a few more, but I forget the names.

    Other Trade Skills:

There are awesome new recipes available for crafters but I will leave that for a future article. For the most part, expect to find the usual upgrades to existing items and I am sure there will be unique things as well.

Some new Ore types I found are:
    Fel Iron Ore

    Adamantium Ore

    Bags:

There is a recipe in Shattrath for an 18 slot bag and I hear 20 slot bags have been found. I took a shot of the bag recipe and another recipe that makes some of the ingredients required for the bag recipe.

    Instances

Hellfire Citadel is the main instance dungeon in Hellfire Peninsula and it consists of three 5 man instance wings and a 10 man Raid instance, which are:
    Hellfire Ramparts Level 61-63

    The Blood Furnace Level 61-63

    The Shattered Halls Level 70-72

    Magtheridon's Lair – 10 Man raid

This is what Hellfire Citadel looks like from the outside.

    [IMG] [IMG]

I have had a chance to do two HFC instances. The first was HFC: Ramparts, which I did with a group of 5 obviously was a nice little instance that takes place on the Ramparts above Hellfire Citadel, so it has some really nice views into Hellfire Peninsula but I thought the instance itself could of used some nicer textures. As for the instance itself, it wasn't too difficult to do but some of the pulls will require a puller that knows what he is doing or you will wipe in here, but that is how it goes in any dungeon... There were a few mobs with some surprises, such as a Beastmaster that would spawn 3 wolves after he got down to about 50% and some other mobs that would hit you with a 2 second fear that could fear you into other groups if you didn't pull them far enough back. Total time was about 1 hour, which was just perfect.

    [IMG][IMG]

The first boss called Watchkeeper Gargolmar was a pretty straightforward pull, however the two Hellfire Watchers with him do heal him so weaker groups may want to take the healers out first and then concentrate on the boss. We just took out the boss and called it a day.
    Zoom
    [IMG]

The second boss is called Omar the Unscarred and he had some unique attacks, such as a 400 DPS curse/aoe that hits people who get too close to each other, so keep your people spaced out. He also has a knock back attack, but I do not think you can actually get knocked off the ramparts as he appears to pull you back into him.
    Zoom
    [IMG]

The final boss is actually two bosses. As you can see from the screenshot below, Vazruden the Herald flies around on a dragon. After you kill the two elites shown in the picture below, Vazruden drops off the dragon and attacks you. When you get Vazruden down to about 20% or so, his dragon called Nazan drops down and joins the fight. As you can see, this is a bit of an endurance battle but if you win, you get a drop off each boss.
    Zoom
    [IMG][IMG]

I also had a chance to hit up HFC: Blood Furnace with a bunch of Tier 2 and 3 equipped hardcore raiders, and it was a total blast. Visually, I found this instance to be exceptionally well done and interesting, as you can see from the screenshots. As for the fighting itself, the pulls were pretty much straightforward but there were some tricks such as Technicians laying proximity mines and a few stealthed assassins in the instance to keep you on your toes and my Tier 2 and 3 equipped buddies DID run into some problems here and there due to difficulty.. It took us about an hour and a half to do this one.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

The first boss called the Maker had a nasty little knock back but was very straightforward for us.
    Zoom
    [IMG]

The second boss was a giant squid or octopus called Broggok and was much more involved. You get to him by hitting a leaver on the floor (see shots) and after you do that, doors on the sides open up one by one and let 3 to 4 Mobs come out at you, when you finish killing all the mobs, the boss itself comes into the room and you get to kick his ass. The funny part was, when the boss dies, a poison cloud appears around his body for a minute and it will kill you if you are not careful. The loot was good. I do think the mobs that come from the doors need to be tuned down a bit though as I think many a party will wipe here
    Zoom
    [IMG]

The third boss was called Keli’dan the Breaker and is nothing too special but the room he was in was very visually stimulating and below him, you can see Magtheridon (which you later kill in the HFC Raid Instance). To kill Keli, you first kill the Warlocks in the room that are situated around him in a pentagram and then he aggros you. Keli also drops the Shattered Halls Key, which is the key that lets you into a level 70 instance in HFC. Again, the loot dropped here was awesome
    Zoom
    [IMG]
    Zoom
So far I have done 2 instances but they were both a blast to do and the loot was well worth it and I found the difficulty rating of them both to be “just right”.

    Hard Mode Instances and Tokens:

I am not 100% sure about this yet, however I believe that when you do a level 70 dungeon in Hard Mode, you will get specific tokens in addition to regular Blue and Purple drops. These tokens can then be turned in to G’eras at Shattrath City for some nice loot of your own choice. I must applaud Blizzard on adding a token system because to be honest with you, running an Instance 300 times in order to get a specific item drop is both un-fun, sucks ass and just shouldn’t happen.

Here is what the loot window looks like, with a few examples of loot:

    Loot Quality

By now, everybody has realized that the quality of loot has been bumped up a few notches over what is currently in Retail WoW. I have my own speculative reasons that this is simply done to increase the fun factor and to try and rebalance out how the tier 1, 2 and 3 loot progression systems have sort of screwed up the loot system. The unfortunate side effect here is that some people will probably be disappointed that their old loot will become obsolete at certain stages of the expansion, however that is a given for any expansion in most games anyways so get over it. I have copied a statement that Eyonix of Blizzard made the other day that deals with this as well.

MMORPGs are about continued progression and World of Warcraft is no different in that regard. We don't want anyone to feel as though their efforts obtaining items were in vain, however, we don't want to prevent players from evolving either. The gear you spent time gathering will help you in Outlands by giving you an edge in leveling and obtaining better equipment. The fact is, once the Burning Crusade launches and players (all players regardless of gear) have an opportunity to improve their character further through leveling and itemization, it will be both exciting and new.

Imagine an item you spent forever trying to obtain in current World of Warcraft, such as the Scarlet Boots from the Monetary, or a particular piece of your tier 1 armor set. I'm sure every level 60 whose spent time focusing on progressing their character though itemization can think of an example of an item that took forever to gather that they no longer wear because they've since found an upgrade.

My point is in current WoW, when you've finally upgraded an item, regardless of the time invested, were you upset that your previous efforts were in vain, or were you simply excited to get a new item that had better stats? I know I personally worked hard on some of my tier 1 gear back when that was the best option available for my character. When I finally replaced those pieces, I could care less about my previous time investment. I was happy to have something better than before.

You can't "win" World of Warcraft, and if your goal is to spend time getting the best gear in the game and remain at the top, you'll be disappointed because we're constantly going to introduce more powerful equipment and unless you continue to work towards the progression of your character, a particular patch or expansion will leave you looking a little outdated

One of the biggest things people will notice is that Stamina has been vastly increased on equipment, which tells you that Blizzard is ramping up the difficulty. My level 61 Rogue is already pushing 5500 HP with no buffs and I can see Priests and Mages in the 6000+ HP range by 70.

    Warning:

The follow statements are based on my opinions of what I am personally seeing with the loot system and have learned through discussions with other level 60-67 players. Therefore, I am conjecturing based on incomplete analysis and may be slightly off in my observations, so don’t shoot me :) Obviously, people will always have different opinions on "loot quality" and since the loot system varies so much, there are no black and white opinions on it. This is how I think Outlands loot compares to retail WoW loot.

    • Green Loot:
    • Green loot drops at 60 vary, however in many cases they appear to be at least equal to or better than Zul’Garub equipment and quickly ramp up from there. In some cases, it is even equal to or better than some Molten Core drops. Soloers and casual players will definitely enjoy this aspect and will definitely be upgrading right off the bat. Keep in mind that not every piece of loot you find will be “better”, some will still ****, some you will value differently than other people, etc.
    • Quest Loot:
    • Green and Blue quest loot at level 60-62 is very good from what I am seeing so far and if you look below into the Quest Loot section, you can see some of it. Will it offer upgrades for the Molten Core, BWL and Naxramas raiders? Yes and no. Some of the level 60-62 quest loot is better than MC loot, some of it isn't. People with Blackwing Lair and Naxxramas equipment will probably be waiting a while longer before quest loot starts to surpass their equipment, but obviously there are always exceptions.
    • Blue Instance Loot:
    • The level 60-63 Hellfire Citadel instances are dropping loot that is in most cases is equal to and in many cases, is usually exceeding Tier 1 and other Molten Core loot. In a few cases, I have seen some socketed items that will probably replace the odd bits of Blackwing Lair loot. One rogue in partial Tier 2 said he would rather have the socketed leather chest piece I have shown above than his Tier 2 chest piece. I am sure others would disagree with him, but again, it varies from person to person.
    • From my discussions with other players, the level 63-66 Coilfang Reservoir and Auchindoun Instances are dropping loot that is equal to, marginally better than or greatly better than Blackwing Lair loot. In many cases, people are opting for the socketed sets over their existing loot but this appears to vary on the person and many want the extra stamina appearing in items. Others are opting to go with their Tier 2, due to set bonuses.
    • Some high level players say they are seeing plenty of level 67 blue instance loot that is better than Nax loot, so it appears that you can start upgrading Naxx loot at ~67, with some Naxx pieces lasting you longer and other pieces getting upgrades sooner. I can not given definitive answers yet and my guess is that it will totally vary anyways.
    • Purple/Epic Loot:
    • I have not seen any Epic loot out of Hellfire Citadel yet, however I would imagine it will be awesome stuff…
There are a few very important things that people should keep in mind though:

    1. Tier 1, 2 and 3 Loot WILL make a big difference in your leveling and instance runs initially. So if you have it, don’t consider it a waste of time
    2. Those of you in full sets of Tier loot will probably end up keeping your armor a little longer than is strictly necessary. The reason I say this is because I don’t see Tier equipped people stopping to farm HFC instances to upgrade their equipment, and due to not stopping to farm, they will keep their loot for a while. It is theoretically possible to replace all your MC loot at level 60 or BWL loot at 65, who is going to sit and run HFC over and over and over to do so? I think we will see people taking it with them until they slowly replace it over time but it depends on the people.
    3. Socketed Items play a huge role in equipment so in some cases, existing Tier 2 and 3 loot could still be “better” in some cases, but people may upgrade due to the sockets or higher stamina or whatever.
    4. In general, what I am seeing is that Tier 1 will last you between 60-63, Tier 2 between 64-66 and Tier 3 between 67-70 but by now, people probably clued into the fact that there is no definitive black and white answer here. Some will get replaced early, some wont.

If you are currently Raiding BWL and Naxx, I wouldn’t stop just yet. There is still weeks to go until BC hits the stores. The Naxx equipment will serve you well in BC, though you will definitely be finding upgrades well before level 70. And as I said, a clear picture of loot has not totally formed yet and we are in beta….
