Mình cũng mới chơi, nên muốn hỏi mọi người sao không ai nói đến các map hay của H3 nhỉ? Mình thấy có nhiều edited-map hay phết như: - The empire of the World I, II - To kill for power ...
Các bác cứ chơi thử mà xem Link map đây http://heroes.mycomport.com/cgi-bin..._ID=400&OBJECT_ID=2718&FILE_NAME=kill4pwr.zip Score: 95/100 General comments: For once, you get to interpret the baddie of the situation. Lyndor is an evil warlock who, after being locked in an astral prison by some pesky wizards, manages to break free and shift back in time in order to take revenge on his captors. His quest will bring him to search for prowess in highest magic (ergo his hunger for the Spellbinder's Hat) and force him to face many challenging enemies including the mighty Elementalists Terra, Ignis, Aeris and Aqua. The storyline's flawless consistency, excellent wording and sometimes sarcastic humour are granted to keep the player enthralled from beginning to end. The first battles are fought with Inferno troops; at a later stage it is possible to recruit Tower and Rampart troops as well. Fortress and Stronghold armies become available towards mid-game but are too reduced in numbers to be of any use (save for Mighty Gorgons). Access to the four dreaded Dragons (Fairy, Rust, Crystal and Azure) is possible but not abundant. Lyndor's skills are all preset and although they may not be the very best available (given the amount of Titans I gathered I'd have preferred Archery over Intelligence; Tactics would have been nice against the Wizards) they are in keeping with the storyline and perfectly fit Lyndor's bio. The main hero's special (Sorcery) is of limited use in my opinion, but that will depend on the individual player's style. Movement is fluid and fast (Logistics and Pathfinding are preset; access to the Boots of Speed and to the Equestrian's gloves comes early) and visiting each location is a feast for sore eyes! The trimmings and decorations are out of this world - never before have I seen such a beautiful map! The scenario's ending is a masterpiece to be carved in stone - can't say anything else or I'll spoil the surprise =) The only drawback is the lack of custamization in a few quest guards, seer's huts and artifacts. Considering all the attention given to the storyline, the placed events and the sequence with which spells are learned and artifacts are acquired, a little more effort in that sense was in order. It's a bit silly when you find an artifact in an underground mushroom field and you get a message like "An old shaman stands in the middle of the road screaming at you in an unknown language etc etc"... General layout and aesthetics: Beyond perfection, no words exist to comment! Fiery has always treated us to stunning landscapes but the trimmings (and secret paths, hehe) in "To kill for power" are unbeatable! 10+ Challenge: most battles are quite hard (unless you sit around waiting for your troops to breed - not my idea of fun) and the ramping is well-done (save maybe for the Witches and Barbarians, but it fits into the storyline). Well-planned spell restrictions make things a bit more frustrating and challenging but never impossible. Good demonology skills (or whatever they're called are a definite plus. 8.5/10 Atmosphere and storyline: Virtually perfect. The events are narrated with very literate and highly colourful English (save for a few grammar & spelling mistakes); the atmosphere is further enhanced by the amazing trimmings and decorations, and the ending is the work of a genius! However, some objects require customizing. 9.5/10 Originality and creativity: In some places the map might seem a bit similar to 'The lord of war' (well, all XL maps based on a single superhero do, don't they?) but the troop mix, storyline, decorations and general idea are unprecedented. Superb! 9.5/10 Effort: I can only try to imagine how much time went into ramping the battles, decorating the map and putting in the marvellous storyline. A titanic undertaking for sure. 9.5/10 Fun factor: if you love XL maps with huge quests then this one's for you (no, no Bud . If you hate them, it's your loss. Yours truly gives this map 9.5/10 Some tips: Make it a habit to reload autosaves until "Month of the ..." events are no longer so, if you do not want to run the risk of pulling your hair out 50 turns down the road (great wording, Fiery . Move swiftly, especially in the beginning: you'll need those Archdevils and Titans! Bugs and problems: none, but as in many maps "Month of the..." events could place creatures in critical landing spots, thus making the game unfinishable (I guess I'll be repeating this same sentence in a lot of reviews Pros: challenging battles, outstanding decorations and a wonderful storyline with a GENIUS ending! Cons: could be even more customised; deserves a sequel or two =) Reviewer's score: I played on Impossible and finished on month 11, week 3, day 7 for a score of 432 and Archangel rating. A skilled player can surely finish much earlier. Bottom line: well, as far as I'm concerned this is the *best* H3 map ever made! Unique and absolutely marvellous.
Map nầy qua được tuần đầu khó thấy ông bà, đâm hướng nào cũng đụng quân tụi kia hết. Tên nào chơi 1 phát ăn tiền luôn ngộ bái làm sư phụ.
- Not fair.
Map Maker: DARKLORD kispalko) Map size: Extra-Large (with Underground) Map difficulty: Impossible Expansion: Shadow of Death Win condition: Standard (standard win allowed) Loss condition: Standard Only Player Positions: 1 Human-only, 0 Human-or-Computer, 8 Computer-only Players Review based on map version dated: 22 Oct 2001(version 1.0) Review submitted: 15 Aug 2002 Score: 84/100 Comments: This is the sequel to "The Empire of the World", where Maximus rebelled against the Roman tax collectors and gave a new, more appropriate meaning to 'res publica'. This time he has to return to Rome after being banished from his homeland (no kidding . The story is narrated through several timed and placed events, plus the occasional encounter with some friendly peasants. Despite a considerable number of spelling and grammar mistakes, the plot is enjoyable and fairly consistent throughout (especially towards the end). Battles are fought using mostly or exclusively castle & rampart troops, meaning that losses are usually minimal or non-existant (provided you know the basics of the game, that is . Indeed, powerful spells such as 'clone', 'town portal' and 'resurrection' become available early on; the main hero's specialty (+2 speed, courtesy of Sir Mullich) isn't bad either =) But the fights grow big very quickly, and finding one's way through the never-ending slew of secret paths can be very, very taxing. The first encounter is with 'evil' Robin Hood (LOL), followed by a highly exciting quest in Mongolia to dispose of Genghis Kahn. As for the rest...well, download and find out! What disappointed me was the final battle: according to a placed event it was meant to be very, very tough, but in fact it was one of the easiest I fought. I really fell for the warning so I equipped the Angelic Alliance and cautiously crept up on the enemy hero with my trusty army comprising something like 2500 Archangels & Golden Dragons, 1000 Ancient Behemoths, 1200 Chaos Hydrae, 15000 (!!!) Marksmen, 7500 Grand Elves and 5000 Champions. No losses, and I could have done just as well with half as many troops. But I admit that humiliating the Roman emperor to such an extent added in a little flavour =) General layout: very tricky hidden passages and great overall care in placing objects. 9.5/10 Aesthetics: Excellent, bordering on perfect in some places. 9.5/10 Balance: the battles are a bit on the easy side (save for an extremely tough one with 'God of Air') but they're BIG! 7.5/10 Challenge: while the battles tend to be quite one-sided (maybe less so if you hurry things and never horde), finding your way around the map is very, very hard - a must for explorers! Moving along as fast as possible without stopping every few weeks to gather armies can increase the challenge; the final battle is anti-climatic, though. 7.5/10 Atmosphere and storyline: Consistent and original, but marred by fairly poor English and several non-customized seer-huts & objects. 7.5/10 (note: despite his Hungarian surname, the mapmaker should be Swedish. I can't bank on it, though - he never answered my feedback e-mail. Var gor du, Darklord? Originality and creativity: many of the map's key features are, IMHO, heavily influenced by Gwhenwyfar's "The lord of war" (even the 'grail on a chess board' idea is somehow implemented) and Tang Wen En's "To kill for power". Darklord has taken some of the best features from these maps and mixed them in with his very personal style, pulling off an excellent result. 8/10 Fun factor: this marvellous XL map plays like a campaign rather than like a standard scenario and should cater to quite a variety of tastes. Going around with zounds of castle and rampart troops is fun! 9/10 Effort: 9.5/10 - full marks if it weren't for the poor English Some tips: Make sure you develop logistics + expert earth and water magic (cloned Archangels...)! Expert fire magic can be very useful against 'God of Air'. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden passages! Bugs and problems: none, but "Month of the..." events could place creatures in critical landing spots, thus making the game unfinishable. Pros: challenging and beautiful to explore; original and intriguing storyline (save for the above-mentioned minuses); beating up the Romans is fun =) Cons: English needs to be improved and several artifacts & seer's huts need customizing - that way, the atmosphere would become all the more enthralling! Anti-climatic final battle. Reviewer's score: I played on Impossible and finished in (gulp) 444 days for a score of 480 and Archangel rating, but I believe the map can be completed in much less time. Bottom line: definitely one of the very best XL maps around and a must for all hardcore heroes fans!
