Hiện tại thì chưa có cái guide nào về thief cả. Cái topic thief guide ngoài diễn đàn là cách đây hơn cả năm, lấy từ bên datlattoiyeu qua.
Dù biết là Az_Foxpro đã bỏ công tìm tài liệu, giúp đỡ mọi người, nhưng có 1 số lỗi sai sau: chưa bảo đảm là cái guide này đúng hay sai, bạn copy từ diễn đàn khác thì phải nói lấy ở đâu để mọi người còn biết. Bạn viết guide như vậy nếu người mới chơi làm theo, chơi nửa chừng thấy sai sẽ nản, bỏ maple, diễn đàn mất tính cách là nơi trao đổi kinh nghiệm.
Theo mình bạn nên edit lại, sửa toàn bộ cái guide ở trên. Nếu ko thì có thể để vài dòng như "sẽ cập nhật sau" nếu hiện tại chưa có tài liệu. Những guide hướng dẫn nên để những người đã từng chơi qua hết rồi viết vì họ có kinh nghiệm.

Welcome to MapleStory where you can experience a 2D MMORPG game. In this game you can use 1 of 4 characters. The first character and the easiest to understand is the warrior. Most people start with this character because it is simple to make money for the character you would like to choose as your primary. The second and the most common is the magician. They are the most common because they can cast spells and is the only class where you can fight those monsters that are weak against your spell or magic attack. The third is the archers. These characters are specialized to kill monster(s) from a ranged position. Last but least is the thieves. The thieves are the fastest characters in the game. Fast in killing and moving.

There are two types of thieves are bandits and assassins. Bandits are close range (like the warrior but much more faster) and the Assassin is far range (like the archer but much MUCH faster. Many people will compare them to the magician. Magicians [Lightning magician] have a combo called telecast; where the teleport then cast, where an assassin uses haste then lucky seven. They are fast but lower damage then the bandit, Assassins have to waste more money because they have to make their weapon and buy their throwing stars. One reason why I do not prefer the assassin is because of the load of money u need for them.

The bandit can out attack the assassin especially when they have dagger booster and haste maxed, and if they are a STR. Bandit. You are fast, lethal, and has one of the highest attacks in the game if you add the right stuff.

level 1 dark sight sucks. I know. Don’t bug me on it because the only other skill left is keen eyes. If u raise it then u would need a claw… if u would want to throw stars become an assassin, but obviously u wanna be a bandit so put it into dark sight and use it if u wanna see jr. balrog at level 30.

If you get into high 60’s you can party and kill mushmoms, and go to deep deep el nath with the same spearmen and cleric friend you went with before. Try to make friends with a good fire mage and you’ll be able to kill anything down there together.

**WHAT I HIGHLY SUGGEST IS FINDING YOUR NEXT WEAPON INSTEAD OF BUYING IT! AND I AM SAYING THIS FOR 4 REASONS: [1] people will offer outrageous prices for the crappiest stats [2] you might have to force your self into buying one that’s not worth the price [3] you also might force yourself into selling some of the stuff you want to keep [4] why buy it when you can hunt for it!?!?!?

Level 10-11>> noob armor (because nothing can really kill you at this level), stolen fence
Level 12-19>> orange sporty shirt or white lined t-shirt, grey thick sweat pants (once again you don’t need the most high tech armor right now because nothing will do amazing damage)
Level 20-24>> Pao set
Level 25-29>> Brown sneak, brown sneak pants, bamboo hat, make level 25 shoe OR whitterbottom shoes (keeping the fence will be alright from here too)
Level 30-34>> stealer set, bamboo hat, whitterbottom shoes OR level 25 shoe,
Level 35-39>> entire burglar set, keep level 26 ones, buy panlid (now is when 10 defence is going to make a difference. Buy a 10 defence ONLY! No more or less)
Level 40-49>> Pilfer, shadow set, make level 40 shoes
Level 50-59>> China wear set (if you want to keep the pilfer because it looks better then I geuss that’s ok but you’ll be off in defence wise. Scroll it if your rich)
Level 60+ >> From here on you can keep the china wear because it looks better or scroll you panlid to a +7 or your Korean fan (if you are going to do this make sure they are all 60%’s because all the other’s aren’t worth it. You should be extremely rich.

If you want more attack become a warrior. Maplestory has already made a luk bandit for no reason I am aware of and as far as I’m concerned its just a waste of space and ugly weapons.

2. Introduction

Sideline : before i start my guide , i want to say something : NO FLAMERS PLEASE !!
i try to ensure i don't contain offensive materials to invite flamers.

(A) Thief Information

Thieves are the hardest class to train at the beginning of the game. They do however become very strong at level 50 stages. They require even more personal skills to use than other classes. They are NOT for newbies unless you want a challenge. Thieves are no different from Magicians in terms of MP intake. They drink up the Potions very fast , so better have lots of Blue Potions/Elixirs stocked up.

(B) Why a Bandit-Sin ?

People go Bandit-Sin because :
-They actually want to be a Bandit , but hate Double Stab , therefore they go Bandit-Sin.
-They want to level up faster in the level 20 stages.

Requirements of a Bandit-Sin :
-You must be stinking rich. (Train a Mage or a Warrior for funds)
-You must know the Art of Lucky7. (Such as Jump Shooting and stuff)
-Know how to control.

(C) Why a Bandit ?

People want to be a Bandit because :
-They want to have an Edge , Damage-Wise , and Rule in 3rd Job.
-Cool Savage Blow ?
-They want a Smaller Damage Range (Balance Damage) as a Thief.
-They want to be the Fastest as a Melee Character.
-Cool Weapons.

Requirements of a Bandit :
-Stinking Rich.
-Control.
-Art of Jump Attacks.
-You must like Melee.

3. Journey of The Rogue
-----------------

(A) Creating your Character

Roll the dice till your Str and Int is both 4. Keep doing this until this happens
Do Not care about Luk and Dex yet.
If you really can't get 4 , 4 on str and int , go for at least 4 str and 5 int OR 5 str and 4 int.

(B) Ap Guide

Lvl 10: 25 Dex, 37 Luk
Lvl 15: 30 Dex, 57 Luk
Lvl 20: 40 Dex, 72 Luk
Lvl 25: 50 Dex, 87 Luk
Lvl 30: 60 Dex, 102 Luk

As you can see, Dex should be twice your level, and Luk should have everything else. Put up your Luk by 5 each time for 3 levels, then put up Dex by 5 twice so that you will have enough Dex to upgrade your armour and weapons.

For example:
LV21 +5 Luk
LV23 +5 Luk
LV25 +5 Dex
LV27 +5 Luk
LV29 +5 Dex
LV22 +5 Luk
LV24 +5 Dex
LV26 +5 Luk
LV28 +5 Luk
LV30 +5 Dex

This will give you enough Dex to upgrade your weapons, and putting up Luk increases your maximum damage, so it's best to put that up as fast as you can. You will need 10 less than usual, so just put Dex in at level 49, 50, 59, 60, etc. You only need 90 Dex at level 50, 100 Dex at level 60, etc. The ratio changes from 3 Luk to 2 Dex and becomes 4 Luk to 1 Dex.
Reminder : DO NOT add Str and Int , they are USELESS.
Note that your Dex must be 25 to advance to this job
So , by level 10 , your Dex Must be 25 , your Luk is somewhere around 30 +

(C) Job Change : Beginner ---> Rogue

From lvl 1 to lvl 10 , keep killing Green and Blue Snails at Maple Isle. Do that until you are lvl 10 takes you 3 hours then go to Victoria Island.Once you arrive at Victoria island , go to Kerning City and look for the Dark lord in the Jazz Bar to apply the Job as a Rogue.

(D) Your Rogue Skill Book

[Nimble Body]
Master Level : 20
Increases Accuracy and Avoidability
Lvl 1 - +1 Accuracy and Avoidability
Lvl 10 - +10 Accuracy and Avoidability

Comment : A must for every Thief to learn. Thief speciallizes in Acc and Avoid. If you don't learn this , why be a Thief in the 1st place ?

[Keen Eyes]

Increases the Range of Throwing Stars

Lvl 4 - 200% Range
Lvl 8 - 300% Range
Comment : A useful skill for all Sins and Bandit-Sins to learn. Free Range.

[Disorder]

Decreases Weapon Atk and Weapon Def of The Enemy
Lvl 1 - Enemy Weapon Atk and Def -1 for 3 seconds
Lvl 10 - Enemy Weapon Atk and Def - 10 for 30 seconds

Comment : Seemed powerful to me , but nevertheless , it's useless Bandits. As Bandits don't use it.

[Dark Sight]

Makes you invisible for a set limit of seconds
Lvl 1 - Speed decrease 28% , invisible 10 seconds , 24 mp
Lvl 10 - Speed decrease 10% , invisible 100 seconds , 15mp
Lvl 20 - Speed decrease 0% , invisible 200 seconds , 5mp
Comment : Just a skill to see Jr.Balrog at level 30.

[Double Stab]
Master Level : 20
Damage the enemy twice with a dagger
Lvl 1 - 35% damage per stab
Lvl 10 - 80% damage per stab
Lvl 20 - 130% damage per stab
Comment : Useless skill , not worth learning.

Lvl 1 - 55% damage per hit

Comment : A versatile skill. Higher the level , higher the damage.

Lv26-30: Ant Tunnel 4 (Zombie Mushrooms , Horned Mushrooms)

Why no PQ ? Pq is unreliable as sometime you will miss the chance of going in. I did rather take all those time for waiting to training. training on your own and level up on your own make you more satisfied.
If you still really want to Pq , i recommend all this conditions fulfilled 1st.
-Pq with friends that you can communicate easily
-You must know HOW to do the Pq ( You must have experience)
-Auto Clicker ( Very important ! )

The last trick i am going to give you is A TRACK
Get Ready Pen and paper , when you reached bonus stage , one member must volunteer
to quit the pq and go to the Pq Area (where everyone's waiting)
there , the guy must write down all the names he could on the paper.
When your party is out , and another party went in , refer back to the piece of paper ,
and slowly /find each and every one of them. Pretty nasty , huh ?

(G) Weaponry

Claw :
Lvl 10-25 : Garnier (3000mesos)
Lvl 25-40 : Meba (upgrade with garnier)
You may want to upgrade your Meba with 7 100% scrolls for claw to make it Meba+7.

Throwing Stars :
Try to get the best stars that you can afford. If you are rich , try to get lots of wooden tops. they are cheap ,
very high in quantity therefore you can train longer , receive lots of EXP. and you can safe the hazzle of repotings.
Repot : Recharge Potions.
Why wooden tops ? well , it safe money and as stated above , and i noticed one thing. Stars don't make you strong.
kumbis and wooden tops really have no damage difference. therefore , why waste more mesos ?

(H) Armoury

Males :
Lvl 10-15 : clothes you got initially
Lvl 15-25 : Dark Nightshift set with lvl 15 hat , any shoes
Lvl 25-35 : Brown Sneak set with Brown Bamboo hat , any shoes any glove , and , rag cape.

Females:
Lvl 10-15 : clothes you got initially
Lvl 15-25 : Red Nightshift Set with lvl 15 hat , any shoes
Lvl 25-35 : Dark Sneak Set with Brown Bamboo Hat , any shoes any glove , Old rag Cape.

Note that you have no Double stab.
Therefore you HAVE to use Lucky7 all the way to lvl 40.
Thus , the Meba is the final claw you will be using , and upgrading it to +7 is much recommended.

4. Journey of The Bandit

(A) Job Change : Rogue ---> Bandit

Now , you are level 30 , it's time.
go back to Kerning City , see the Dark Lord.
the Dark Lord will give you a letter to be send to the 2nd Job Instructor.
the 2nd Job Instructor is located and the top of Kerning City construction site
RIGHT of Kerning City. You will be fighting Blue Mushrooms and Cold Eyes.
Note that your Dex must STILL be Double your level
Everything on Luk. But , starting from level 40 , the ratio changes
from luk4 to dex1.

(B) Your Bandit Skill Book

[Dagger Mastery]
Master Level : 20
Increases minimum damage of the dagger and accuracy
Lvl 1 - 15% mastery , 1 accuracy
Lvl 10 - 35% mastery , 10 accuracy
Lvl 20 - 60% mastery , 20 accuracy
Comments : A skill which is COMPULSORY to every single Bandit.

[Endure]
Master Level: 20
Heal your hp and mp while on a rope
Lvl 1 - 29 seconds to heal 3 hp , 1 mp
Lvl 10 - 20 seconds to heal 30 hp , 10 mp
Lvl 20 - 10 seconds to heal 60 hp , 20 mp
Comments : A skill to recharge back HP and MP while AFKing on a rope.

[Haste]
Master Level: 20
Increases your move speed and jump rate for a set time
Lvl 1 - Increases speed 2% and jump 1% for 10 seconds
Lvl 10 - Increases speed 20% and jump 10% for 100 seconds
Lvl 20 - Increases speed 40% and jump 20% for 200 seconds
Comments : As i said , Thieves speciallize in this type of skillls....compulsory too.

[Dagger Booster]
Master Level: 20
Increases your dagger attacking speed for a set time
Lvl 1 - 29 hp and mp to increase speed for 10 seconds
Lvl 10 - 20 hp and mp to increase speed for 100 seconds
Lvl 20 - 10 hp and mp to increase speed for 200 seconds
Comments : This skill boost your Savage Blow speed. You will see the difference.

[Steal]
Master Level: 30
Lol. no nid description can Just know by seeing the name , right?
Lvl 1 - 42% damage applied , 11% success of steal
Lvl 15 - 70% damage applied , 25% success of steal
Lvl 30 - 100% damage applied , 40% success of steal
Comments : Cool , but useless skill.

[Savage Blow]

Damage the enemy 6 times with a dagger
Lvl 1 - 22% damage per hit , 2 hit
Lvl 11 - 42% damage per hit , 4 hits
Lvl 21 - 62% damage per hit , 6 hits

Comments : COMPULSORY to every single Bandit. No Savage Blow , No Bandit.

I strongly recommend Endure instead of Steal as the 3rd job have Pickpocket , WAY better than Steal
Endure allows you to afk safely and heal much faster therefore , go for endure. if not , you may try to learn a bit of Disorder....(which i dun recommend)

Lv50-55: Dangerous Valley 1 (Copper Drakes)
Lv55-??: Sleepy Dungeons IV or V (Dark Stone Golems)

(G) Armoury

For Males :
Lvl 35-60 : Green Knucklevest , Blue knucklevest pants , Brown Bamboo Hat , any shoes , Gold Arbion glove
Lvl 60-?? : Silver/Bronze Id , Oaker Scorpio or Dark Scorpio Set , Dark Moss Shoes and Gold Pow.
Lvl 80-?? : Silver Id should be ok , pirate set , any shoes , work glove probably if you got money.
Try to get a luk+4 green knucklevest , but luk+3 should be fine. luk+2 blue knucklevest pants , make any shoes you want if you think you can make it. And once you are lvl 40 , wear a luk+3 red pilfer. scroll the armour if you are rich. Try to upgrade your gold arbion if you got the money. I know......wearing a same old armour all the way to lvl 60 is boring.....but don't worry you can save $$$ to buy Deadly Fin

For Females :
Lvl 35-60 : Dark/Purple Avenger , Brown Bamboo Hat , Any shoes , Gold Arbion Glove.
Lvl 60-?? : Silver/Bronze ID , Umber/Bloody Mantis set , Dark moss shoes and Gold pow.
Lvl 80-?? : Not sure. not many high lvl female thieves i know that i can take reference from.
Try to scroll your avenger with dex overall scrolls. once u hit lvl 40 , get a luk+3 red pilfer. make any shoes you want if you think you can make it. try to upgrade your gold arbion glove.

5. Comparisons
-----------------

(A) Bandits VS Assassins

-Bandits are melee fighters , Sins are ranged killers.
-Bandit uses daggers , Sins use Claws with throwing stars.
-Bandit's Savage Blow damage is more stable than Sin's Lucky7.
-Bandit at 3rd Job get lots of offensive skills , Sin's mostly is support skills.
-Bandits have very less meso usage at the beginning unlike Sins.
-Bandits got cool weapons with an ability to hold a shield , unlike Sins.
But what is the main difference ???
Firestorm of sleepywood says :
Assassins attack from far away, Bandits attack head to head.That is the main difference. If you like to attack close to an enemy like a Warrior, go Bandit. If you like to attack from a range like an Archer, go with an Assassin. DECIDE WHICH PATH YOU WILL TAKE BEFORE LV10.

(B) Luk Bandits VS Str Bandits

-Str Bandit's Daggers are rumoured to be faster than Luk Daggers.
-Str Bandit have lower Luk causing lower avoidability unlike Luk Bandits.
-Str Bandit's Daggers very cheap ! Luk Daggers are expensive.
-Str Bandit have the best stable damage in the whole Thief class.

Although Str Bandits have stable damage , their damage is lower than Luk
Now for Luk Bandits.
-Luk Bandits have high avoidability than Str Bandits.
-Luk Bandits have high damage than Str Bandits.
-Luk Daggers is rumoured to be the same speed as Str Daggers.
-Luk Bandits also have a quite a good stable damage like Str Bandits.
-In my opinion , Luk Daggers are then the cool ones , not Str

(C) Why Bandits are mainly prefered to go pure luk.

Frankly , Str Bandits get all the reward in early stages.
For example, str bandits' daggers have higher weapon attack and faster speed.
But , in the end , when Str and Luk Bandits reach level 80 , both Dragon Tail and
Angelic Betrayer have the same weapon attack and same speed.
Therefore , at lvl 80 , Str Bandit lose out.
Since things turned out this way , what for go Str ?

6. Important Pointers in Game
-----------------

(A) Jump Attacks

This is the most well-known move of the Thieves.
Both Assassins and Bandits are blessed with the ability to jump and attack.
To do it, jump, and then press attack. This is done so that you can keep moving while attacking.
Bandits are close range so it doesn't matter as much, but jump attacks will allow bandits to attack while moving and avoid enemies by jumping over them. It's best when you Savage Blow ealier , animation end earlier , can Savage Blow again faster.
When you max out haste and booster , when you jump and Savage Blow , when u land after the savage blow/jump , you can immediately savage blow again. if you do it correctly , you can know that your savage blow's machine gun sound is non-stop.

(B) Scrolling your Gephart/Korean Fan

Well , there is this headache that Bandits faced about scrolling their level 35 dagger.
Therefore , from what i experience , i finally found a good way to scroll it.
Step 1---Buy a Korean fan or a Gephart which have a attack of AT LEAST 54 to 55.
Step 2---Buy 7 100% Dagger Scrolls. (490k)
Step 3---Upgrade the Dagger to make it Attack 61 or 62.
This is the cheapest way and safe way of scrolling it. if you are rich , go ahead scroll it with 60% scrolls

(C) Old Rag Cape

Old Rag Cape is a special lvl 25 cape only exist in MapleSEA (from what i know). This little cape , provides a good +10 avoidability essential to us , Thieves. Therefore , you MIGHT try to use this cape throughout your Mapling Life. You can also scroll the cape with Dex Cape Scrolls. But i only recommend Scrolling with Dex Scrolls if you follow the Low Dex Build.

(D) Kill - Stealing

Kill - Stealing , popularly called KS
Don't KS people , it's a form of harassment , which you can get reported for and banned for!
If you been KS , just keep quiet and act like nothing had happen. If you shout back vulgarities , you can get banned , therefore , don't KS people , if people KS you , just keep quiet.

(E) Training Spots

When you are around lvl 40 , you will understand what spots are.
If people come to your spot , tell them nicely to leave. Don't be rude , if not , they will not give a dam to you. What can you expect from MapleSEA??? lol.
If you see people in a spot , you can ask them politely if they want to share spot , if not , just leave.

(F) Earning Money

Hmmm.....ok , this is a pointer where all people must know.
Earn Money through honest means. Like , earn from drops , sell things to people in the correct market price. Do not scam people ! It's a shameless way of earning money , really. you can get reported and get banned. I'm not joking at all.
Hmmm.....another way of earning money is by buying mesos for SGD.....
this too , is quite a stupid to do , and...same thing , you can get banned.
If you are god dam desperate for money , go for the buy-selling method.

(G) Hunting

Hunting basically means hunting for rare items.
Hunting is only recommended if you can 2 to 4 hit K.O the enemy.
It is not recommended to pit yourself to high level monsters , just to hunt the weapon you want.
Like this , it's wasting EVEN more money , wasting time. Isn't worth it man.

(H) Quests

Some quests allows you to make money to cover up for your potions.
I recommend this few quests that you may want to do to earn money :
-John's Quest (Level 15 and 30)
Reward : Screws at 2k each , your level 35 glove.
-Nella Quest (Level 20 and 25)
Reward : your level 20 glove , level 30 shoe.
-Shumi Quest (Level 20 , 30 , 40)
Reward : 30 random town scrolls , 100 mana elixir , 10 or 60% shoes jump
-Jane Quest (Level 25 and 40)
Reward : any 60% weapon scrolls , 10 or 60% glove atk scrolls
-Blackbull's Quest (Level 30, Fame 10)
Reward : 10% dagger or claw scroll
-Rowen the Fairy And The Cursed Dolls (Level 35)
Reward : some ores , 60 or 10% dex glove scoll , your level 40 helmet
-Alpha Platoon's Network of Communication (Level 40)
Reward : 10 or 60% shoes for jump/speed.
-Collecting Huckle's Magic Ingredients
Reward : Statue Teleporting Scrolls

These quests will help you with your money problem.
By the way , Collecting Huckle Ingredients can be done EVERYDAY.
Yes , everyday. But only 1 time per day , like fame.

(I) Scrolls Required

These are the required scrolls you need for your Bandit's life.
100% Dagger Scrolls (for Gephart/Korean Fan)
60% Dagger Scrolls (for your Geta/Dragon Tail)
60% Glove Atk Scrolls (for Work Glove)
But i recommend to buy work glove which are ALREADY SCROLLED
it's better to be safe than sorry , right ?
100% Cape Dex (this is only recommended if you follow the low dex build)
5 luk to bandits don't do THAT much.

Before you reach Lvl 10…

Put all your AP into DEX until it gets to 25 then stop.
Put the Rest into LUK.
Now at Lvl 10…

Go to Kerning and walk inside the Jazz Bar and talk to the Ninja guy.
You are now a Rouge!!!
Put all AP into LUK for 3 Lvl’s until Lvl 13
Then put it into DEX for 2 Lvl’s for Lvl’s 14 and 15 etc.
Keep doing that until you reach lvl 40. At Lvl 40 put all AP into LUK until Lvl 49 and 50. Only put 10 DEX into your stats at Lvl’s 49 and 50, 59 and 60, etc.

Cái tên này có bị làm sao ko vậy ??? Người ta ý kiến là ý kiến cái cách build đó .Nó ko có chuẩn Understand ??? Còn tiếng Anh thì chơi MS hơn cả năm đọc bao nhiêu cái guide rồi đâu cần phải lấy ra ... khè .Lol .Còn bảo là noob thì trong này toàn là high lvl cả ,ko có noob đâu .Junpei là sin lvl tròm trèm 100 rồi .Cách build thì có cả tá ,thiếu gì .

 

OMG, bạn nên nghe lời những người đi trước. Cách build trên hòan tòan sai. Tôi có 1 char Bandit, 2 chars Assasin tất cả 4x nên ko nói nhiều. Nhưng leovn thì gần lv 70, Junpei thì khỏi nói sắp level 100.

Hãy tin là họ có nhiều kinh nghiệm hơn bạn.
