* Giới thiệu chung :

KunLun Online (Côn Luân Online) là tựa game MMORPG 2.5D mang bối cảnh thần thoại Trung Quốc do công ty SmartCell Technology phát triển. Phiên bản tiếng Trung của trò chơi này đã tiến hành open beta với số lượng người đăng ký lên đến hàng trăm nghìn tài khoản. Phiên bản tiếng Anh của KunLun Online do SmartCell Technology phát hành tại Bắc Mỹ cũng vừa mới tiến hành closed beta vào ngày 31/03/2010 vừa qua.

Mới đây, SmartCell cũng đã có thông báo chính thức về thời gian tiến hành open beta của phiên bản tiếng Anh. Theo đó KunLun Online sẽ chính thức tiến hành open beta vào lúc 18h00 ngày 23/04 tới đây (giờ Thái Bình Dương).

Được biết KunLun Online có bối cảnh dựa trên những câu truyện từ cuốn sách thời cổ đại của Trung Quốc có tên là Sơn Hải Kinh . Một số tính năng nổi bật của KunLun Online có thể kể đến như: hệ thống thú cưỡi, thú nuôi, hệ thống boss, hệ thống auto, phụ bản, … Hiện tại nhóm phát triển của trò chơi đang tích cực hoàn thiện các lỗi dịch thuật cũng cải tiến trò chơi dựa theo các ý kiến đóng góp của cộng đồng game thủ.

Ông Bruce Wang, Chủ tịch kiêm giám đốc điều hành của SmartCell Technology cho hay: “Chúng tôi rất vui khi nhận được những phản ứng tích cực của cộng đồng game thủ trong đợt thử nghiệm beta vừa qua. Đội ngũ vận hành trò chơi đã làm việc rất tích cực để cải thiện engine của trò chơi và kết hợp nhiều yếu tố từ nguyên gốc của Sơn Hải Kinh. Khi giai đoạn open beta bắt đầu, cộng đồng game thủ nói tiếng Anh trên thế giới sẽ được trải nghiệm những gì tinh túy nhất của một tựa game 2D đẳng cấp như UO hay Legend of Mir”.


* Classes :


1. Shindian
a) Background Story：
At the beginning of the universe, Pan’gu accidentally cut his hand when splitting the world, the blood dripping to mix together with the mud Nv’wa has prepared to make human. And when the mud turned into human, Shindian comes to the world. They all have a red birthmark in a specific area of the body. Respectively, it’s Vis Divina Shindian if the birthmark is on the forehead, Combat Shindian on the wrist, Ginsen Shindian on the chest. When they become frantic, the red marks emit light and heat, multiplying the energy to defeat their rivals.

b) Introduction to Shindian
Shindians are robust fighters in pursuit of strength, stamina and supreme martial arts. Led by chief commander Bojian, they represent the presence of Yellow Emperor and build the main force in the confrontation with Chi’you Corps. Those surviving the battlefield all have superhuman physique, and their heavy armor can be very effective in defense. Although being a little bit weak in ranged attacks, they’re formidable melee experts and accustomed to deal the fatal blow.

Vis Divina Shindian
The Vis Divina Shindians belong to no ancient school, neither have they inherited any secret martial arts scrolls. They just practice quite a lot; through hard training they hope they can be tough and strong. Earlier, they tend to isolate themselves, not as a group, but as individuals scattered all over the world. Then Emperor Yi organizes them under a single called “Vis Divina Battalion", which comes to be the most powerful troop of Kunlun. Born with a thirst for war and full of unimaginable force, they're well equipped with the heavies and deadliest weapon to cause almost unlimited damage on the battlefield, for their enemies it’s physically real and fatal. Life and death, it makes difference in just one moment. They uphold brutal strength, maybe a little bit crude and rash, but the best vanguards.

Combat Shindian
Most Combat Shindians have come through scientific and systematic training from an early age. Following the footsteps of the ancestors, they formed the "Combat Battalion", the core force of the Yellow Emperor army. They have super strength, indomitable will, and are know for being bloodthirsty. Proficient in all kinds of combating skills, they're swift and fierce, tending to be unsparingly aggressive. They regard obedience the bounden duty of warriors and are willing to make any sacrifice for the honor and benefit of their tribe.

Ginsen Shindian
Right from the ancient period the Ginsen Shindians have always been the most powerful army on earth. Being proud of their heritage and natural gift, each of them is extraordinary. Although they're limited in number and even scattered all around, they’re returning to orthodoxy thanks to the efforts of the Yellow Emperor, and set to carry on the legend. The "Ginsen Battalion" is formed to build the great wall of flesh and blood for the Yellow Emperor. Through practice of various internal strength skills they become immune to all kinds of poisons and even impenetrable just like bulletproof. They have ultra-high physical defense, being able to withstand the most violent attack in killing. Their rich experiences and first-class battle command capabilities make them the undisputed commander of the team.
2. Taibai
a) Background Story
In the early ancient times, floods, fire hazards and devil beasts are rampant, the immortal Taibai have to coop them up separately in several gourds with the magic of the Eight Diagrams. But he soon realized that he can’t manage this all by himself on such a grand continent like Kunlun. To help him tame the evil, he takes three disciples in the lower world, teaches them a few lines as well as the way of practice. As a result of their different characters and talent, these three disciples acquire the mastery of fire, ice and spirit respectively. People call them Asterial God of Fire, Asterial God of Water and Asterial God of Spirit, and anyone learning magic belongs to one of them and is all call Taibai.

b) Introduction to Taibai
Taibais are comfortable with the manipulation of Eight Diagrams, and cause mass injuries when casting powerful spells. Unlike Shindians who focus on self-training, they mainly rely on meditation to crack the mysteries of the universe and get enlightened. In order to make up for the frail bodies, Fuxi creates the magic barrier based on natural power to protect his men. In addition, the Taibais are good at controlling, which further keep them safe.

Fire-harnessing Taibai
Headed by the Asterial God of Fire, they practice with the Eight Diagrams of "Ch\'ien, Chen, K\'an, Ken, K\'un, Sun, Li, and Tui" for self-cultivation. Through skillful operation of fire, they make it unique, when further assisted by other elements, it becomes more destructive. They possess a lot of powerful means of attack, as well as for defense; fire gains life in the hands of Fire-harnessing Taibai and yield enormous damage either in force or range. In fact, most of them indulge themselves in the thrilling effect of an instant critical strike. They deem themselves the strongest Taibai, the big brother, however no matter how they pish down the other two sects; they manage to maintain the peace, at the least it seems like that.

Water-harnessing Taibai
Headed by the Asterial God of Water, they too practice with the Eight Diagrams of "Ch\'ien, Chen, K\'an, Ken, K\'un, Sun, Li, and Tui" for self-cultivation. They’re very comfortable with anything related to water; for them water, ice and even Qi are all good weapons with a variety of additional effects. They believe that they are eligible to become the most proud pupils of Taibai the immortal because of their talent. Always wearing masks same as the ice, they’re easy to recognize; as for their movements it also chills.

Spirit-harnessing Taibai
These followers of Asterial God of Spirit have chosen a highly controversial path for cultivation. Assisted by the Eight Diagrams of Taiji, they carry out unscrupulously the study of dark mystery, soul-snatching and plagues. The amazing power of chaos has always been taboo for many people. Despite their astonishing magic power, they confuse the mind too; those who practice this are almost lonely and enigmatic. Their movements are often accompanied by mysterious smoke and runes, and it even rumors that they have the ability to revive people. They can summon all kinds of monsters, wild beasts and even immortals to fight for them. But there are also disciples who’re interested in crooked means, such as the famous Shengongbao.

3. Bodhi
a) Background Story
Living Buddha, the creator of the Bodhi Church, was born with shiny hands and worshiped when he was still a child. He has predicted great disasters, yet no one takes it seriously before it takes shape. In face of the large-scale invasion of devil beasts, the young Living Buddha organizes an army of volunteers, tonsuring them to get empowered with Buddhist blessings. It proves to be very effective in countering the devil beasts on the battlefield. After the war, the Living Buddha is enshrined in the "Cloud Temple" on the Cloud Mountain. He makes copies of the Buddhist doctrine for his disciples before pass away while sitting cross legged. The Bodhis have a good understanding of heart and soul; by virtue of the Buddhist power, they specialize in spells of treatment and defense. Even in still and deep meditation the emitted tranquil light scorches the evildoer to the same effect of dazzling midday sunshine.

b) Introduction to Bodhi
In addition to Buddhist Staff, they can also use swords, knives, cudgel and several others, but can’t wear heavy armor. Bodhi has more robust physique than Taibai and could melee much better. The spells of Bodhi are quite different from that of Taibai in that, they’re less focused on offensive magic, but instead on protection, healing, support and so on. One of the characteristics of Bodhi is that they have great potential in melee. If applied supportive magic, based on their by no means weak combat capability, Bodhi could even take place of the deadly warrior for a while. As a team member, they could heal and play tank all at once. There’re three temples in the Bodhi church each with an Abbot, respectively called Soul-releasing Temple, Commandment Temple and Salvation Temple.

Soul-releasing Bodhi
Bodhis of the Soul-releasing Temple have frequent contact with ghosts and put on a drear austerity by and by. The world they’re faced of is so dark and full of evil that they’re accustomed to tricks and ruses, acting unfathomably with tyranny just like the Hades. Being able to give life or death, they’re really terrible.

Commandment Bodhi
Bodhis of the Commandment Temple are in principle the most favorable candidates of the next abbot. As warrior-monk, they use cudgel, wheels, hammers and many other weapons for protection. They come to the world for self-cultivation and kill to eliminate the evil. Their skills improve as they make progress in the study of Buddhist doctrine, and when Buddhist persuasion fails they take over to be the judge of good and evil. Their movements are dignified, reflecting their honorable origin.

Universal salvation Bodhi
Bodhis of the Salvation Temple are always cherished in the church. As scholars of Dharma, they hold themselves aloof from the world and know all the truths of nature. In deep contempt for killing and fighting, they believe that people could only be relieved by Buddhist. While haven’t learnt any attack skills, they're good at all kinds of auxiliary means, such as to revive. And then the peaceful life is broken by Chi’you, they had to get out of the temples to help reduce the suffering of ordinary people.

4. Hou’yi
a) Background Story
Hou’yi is frustrated after failing to get to the moon, and there’s no achievement anymore. One day waking up to his errors, he decided that he can’t fall in decadence like this. So he began to travel all over the land to teach everyone he encounters the superior marksmanship. Finally he reaches Kunlun and with the help of the Yellow Emperor begins to conduct classes. By that time he has got three favorite pupils: Chuan’yang, Zi’you and Shiong’li. Zi’you is born with usual frame and tends to be over-ambitious. Once he is defeated by Chuan’yang in a shooting game and suddenly feels that life becomes dull and meaningless. He begins to study all possible means to defeat Yang wear, be it decent or dishonest. Finally in the 11th game he shoots at Chuan’yang with a poisoned arrow and wounds him. He is expelled by Hou’yi from the school, however, fearing that he might make too many enemies, Houyi sends Shiong’li to accompany him to safe place. On returning home Zi’you starts to conduct classes and vowed to defeat Chuan’yang. Shiong’li is trapped in snow-capped mountains on a winter day, and has to settle down there. Quickly 40 years have passed, he has survived, and by sharing his survival skills with nearby people he grows to be the village head. He hopes that the future generations should serve the country if there’s a way. Chuan’yang doesn’t die from the arrow wound, and becomes the new commander of the Archers Battalion.
He announced that anyone that has passed the trial could be included in the Archers Battalion, and regardless of origin, they are all members of the resistance force against Chiyou. Since that time, more and more successors of Zi’you and Shiong’li are seen in the Archers Battalion.

b) Class Introduction
The archers are quick global minded; knowing that they can not deal a fatal blow to the enemies, they make up with tactics and continuously ranged damage. An experienced archer will not focus on killing, instead he always try to protect himself and his companions from danger and harm with his unique skills.

Archer Houyi
Taught by Houyi himself, they have solid basic skills, which they further improve through daily exercises. They believe in fairness and hate the stab-in-the-back business. Each of them is master of archery, therefore despite their being not so smart sometimes they’re always among the best in a team. These killers miles away make the enemies tremble in fear.

Raider Houyi
The Raider Houyis are despised by their Archer Houyi fellows, for they’re very mean and would simply do anything possible to achieve their goals. By no means the strongest in a regular conflict, they’re the king in the wild; no one could escape once he's after. They stop at nothing, and they’re experts in poisoning and running shooting.

Hunter Houyi
The Hunter Houyis are empiricists who learn from the animals to perfect their skills, which would come so far as summoning some creature for assistance. As veterans they have painless solutions to any troubles, for them the Archer Houyi and Raider Houyi are just like born yesterday. They keep away from any sectarian strife, leading a fairy restful life.
