Thank You for all submissions last month in the first edition of the Question and Answer sessions. This will be a monthly feature and will enable IENT to answer any questions you may have while forwarding others to Wemade. I remind you answers here although they are offical are not set in stone and certain answers may force to change with situation.


1) When will it be up?
The Wemade Technical Team arrives at our office on the 16th of January. We anticipate that the game will be running by January 24th.


2) How much will it cost?
In discussion. However, the pricing will have to be in line with the current servers (English Speaking) that are currently in operation.

3) Any benefits for us that were playing beta version?
Open to ideas. Right off the top, we are thinking about offering a pricing discount to Beta players as well as an "in game" bonus.


4) Will all the latest patches be applied?
That is the plan. We feel that the version needs to be current with all other versions that are in operation.

5) Will the Major bugs found during the test period under Wemade (such as the gold exploit) be taken care of before the server comes up?
The plan is to have them corrected. The gold exploit should have been corrected already, we will check to verify that.

6) Has any decision been made on a wipe yet? (Wipe from wemade beta)
Yes. Wemade beta players will be able to keep their characters/character names. However, the stats and items will be wiped.

7) What is the company’s stance on player killing?
They should not kill players, they should only kill the characters. :) We accept pvp but that is not the only reason, or way, to play Mir3. It has to be determined on a case by case basis.

8) What patch will be applied in Beta Stages?

9) What will be offering the customers in terms of support, Example In-game GM support, Live Chat support or 24 Hour Phone support etc.
No phone support for customers. We will have email, TIXX system, forum and in game GMs. We will not have a lot of GMs but we strive to have enthusiastic ones who do show up in the game.

10) Do you drop items if you are killed by a player and you are red?
(Also related to how will you tackle grief players who leave their pet in a safe zone so they can kill you when pet untames and take your items, what's your policy on those kinds of things.)

We will review this issue with Wemade. Grief players, by definition, are there to cause a problem for other players. Those other players outnumber the grief players so we will work to keep the good players.

11) What's the requirements for becoming a Closed Beta tester, for example Age 18+? Have a 1mb + Broadband connection etc.
We will accept players with a wide variety of system set ups, low spec to high spec, so that we can see how the game behaves in different environments and deal with the various issues/bugs that arise. We have no plans to place an age limit on Closed Beta testers. If players get out of control they will be dealt with and removed from the process.

12) What's the dates for Closed Beta, when will it open when will it close, and rough time when open beta will begin and when it will close, and a date for P2P.
Wemade will be visiting our office Jan 16 - 21. If all goes well we plan to open the game for closed beta testing on Jan 24th. Closed Beta will run for 30 days. The run period is dependent on what issues are in the game. We would like all major issues/bugs resolved before we move to Open Beta. The plan for Open Beta is 30 days as well. Again, this time frame is dependent on the stability of the game and whether or not there are bugs present that prevent the commercialization of the product. If all goes well we would like to be P2P in March.

13) What's going to be better about your version that would tempt us to leave Euro Mir3?
We're cute and cuddly :) Our plan is to make this a superb Mir3 server. We will work to be the best we can be and that will appeal to many players.

14) How long will the beta period last for

15) Will the servers be more reliable than the current Europe ones?
To date our hardware has been extremely stable and reliable. We do not foresee any problems from a hardware perspective.

16) How will we be able to pay?
Major credit cards, money orders, paypal. We are investigating other systems that provide additional payment options.

17) How will you stop hacking and deal with it?
We will overlook the rule to not kill players - hackers deserve to die, die, DIE! We will ban hackers. We will accept reports in any of the various methods of communication; we will check the players and lock those needing further research. Any hacks that we can get will be forwarded to Wemade. We would like to have access of those locked or banned to be blocked from the forums; this is to limit their access

18) How will you stop cheating and deal with it?
We will go to their houses and break their knuckles. We will lower the appropriate skill/stat etc. the player could be banned depending on the situation. The second offense is banned.

19) Will there be one or two servers?
We will be able to answer this question after the Wemade visit.

20) Where is the server based?
North Carolina, USA

21) What do you expect the game to cost monthly when retail comes? Will there be discounts for longer periods of time? e.g. £10 off for a year subscription
We will be able to answer this question better once we have completed our visit with Wemade. We do plan to offer discounts for signing up for longer periods of time and we are also looking into offer additional pricing discounts for Beta Testers.

22) Will there be IP restrictions in place?
Our agreement does not call for the blocking of IPs. However, we do have this ability and will use it as a method for dealing with problems.


23) Will our ideas for improvements be able to be passed onto Wemade?
Sure, we love constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.

24) How will you deal with cash exchange for items? Ie ebaying
We do not support cash exchange for items and this will be expressly stated on the site. Unfortunately, if players want to do this, they will find a way -- from our perspective if they choose to take this road they do so at there own risk. We will do whatever is necessary to discourage this practice.

25) Will there be a monthly question & answer session with mirzone and mir3 personnel?
Yes
