    Nếu được thì làm cách nào đó thằng bố tâm sự or dạy thằng con từ một thằng emo trở thành một thằng đàn ông sẵn sàng gánh vác trách nhiệm thì tuyệt. Chứ OG tự nhiên thằng Squall nó lớn đột xuất thành leader ảo lòi :))

    Cũng tùy vào cách họ nhìn nhận và chiêm nghiệm của team mới với các sản phẩm thế hệ trước ra sao, bởi thế mà hiện tại giờ VII Remake đang kết hợp con người cũ và mới cùng làm việc với nhau để giúp họ hình dung, cảm nhận cách để tạo ra một sản phẩm tốt.

    Sau này có thể tới 8 Remake thì đội ngũ mới cũng đã có kinh nghiệm mài dũa từ mấy sản phẩm Remake hiện tại rồi nên cũng có thể biết phải nắm bắt và làm thế nào tốt hơn. Mỗi thời mỗi khác, biết đâu tới con 8 Remake lại lòi ra vài nhân tài khác biến story nó hay hơn bản gốc thì sao :)).

    btw, Trials of Mana remake sắp ra rồi, nghe nói cũng bị pop in texture nặng không kém con FF7R này =))

    Ae có để ý thấy từ FFXII trở đi là mấy bản FF có đánh số ( trừ FFXIV là game online) có cốt truyện như lềnh vì đi quá xa khỏi cái cốt anh hùng cứu thế giới ko? :2cool_sad:
    Đù mịa cái FFXIII chơi éo có tí chiều sâu j, FFXV thì éo nói, mấy bố director với story writer càng ngày càng đuối so với bộ sậu ngày xưa :3cool_angry:

    Speed and ATB
    • Speed seems to have some effect on (passive) ATB charge, and possibly no effect on ATB gain (from attacks). Max speed in the game seems to be Tifa at 96, which charges 1 bar in ~13 seconds (~14 seconds with 65 speed).

    • A general rule of ATB is that dodging and taking damage will stop gains completely, while blocking still gets a passive gain, maybe ~30%.

    • Haste lasts 90-100 seconds and increases both types of ATB gains by about 1/3.

    • I have not been able to pinpoint it, but it looks like something (speed, luck, certain materia, certain weapons) come with possible first strike style ATB bonuses. It's been happening to me from time to time.

    • Certain abilities/spells/skills refund ATB. I did not write them all down, but will discuss a few.
    Vaguely Described Abilities/Materia
    Just wanted to clear these up, as their descriptions confused me for a long time:

    • ATB Assist Materia requires almost zero delay between two ATB commands in order to get the bonus. It's really easy to screw up.

    • Skill Master Materia just means do 3 different ATB commands. They can be anything, and there can be a delay in between.

    • ATB Ward allows characters not named Aerith to drain ATB from Aerith by using commands from inside the ward. It costs 2 bars to lay down but refunds 1 bar.

    • Lifesaver makes Barret absorb between 1/2- or 1/3 his teammates damage and they are healed for the damage he takes. You can block this damage and but do not gain ATB from it. The buff lasts ~140 seconds.

    • Provoke materia aggros some/all monsters to you when a teammate enters critical health. A few enemies in the game are immune (mostly bosses), but not many.

    • Chakra - I THINK scales up in long fights (as more damage is taken) and also comes with a bonus if used when your health is low. I think, maybe. It cures poison, that is certain.

    • Various materia lists resistances against debuffs but you MUST have them paired with warding materia to get it.
    Magic and Damage
    • By reducing magic attack while keeping the same magic stat, I found that lvl1 and lvl2 spells had little damage dropoff, while lvl3 spells fell to almost 50%. Apart from that, magic attack seems to be the stat that matters.

    • The Elemental Materia damage bonus is considerably small unless the enemy is weak to it's linked magic. Whereas a small gain in regular attack can noticeably improve damage, increasing magic stat a lot will still show small gains with this materia.

    • The fury ring (which permanently puts berserk on someone) is the single best source of damage increase outside of magic weaknesses. It applies a flat percentage increase of maybe 30%.

    • The best damage I could get came from maxing out attack damage, using the fury ring, and then using elemental materia with an enemies weakness. Once again, increasing attack power is better than high magic and elemental materia.

    • Spells can crit. I think that luck affects this.

    • Naturally, increasing magic stat made huge improvements to the power of attack spells and heals, but seems to have no effect on durations or the potency of buffs/debuffs.

    • Magic weaknesses are ultimately the best way to stagger enemies and also hit like a truck. Using a non-weakness magic drops damage off by about ~30%.

    • It seems that lvl3 spells all either knock down or send enemies flying regardless of weakness. Enemies that are immune/absorb the magic are an exception.

    • I've only been able to score 9999 a few times: using a limit break (somersault) or using magic weaknesses.

    • Overall, the winner of magic vs physical all comes down to which enemy you are fighting. They all have their own weaknesses and resistances. On hard mode, I've come to expect having to customize my loadout for boss fights specifically.
    Defense
    • Barrier Materia has a flat duration (~60 seconds) and potency (1/2 damage), so it's high mp cost is the only drawback.

    • Steelskin is the same length/potency as barrier. It's awesome.

    • Blocking is better than dodging. It reduces damage by ~50% and ~75% with steadfast materia.

    • I think the regular game is balanced around having 100 defense + magic defense (hard mode is balanced around 200).

    • In short, increasing your defense by +50 points will reduce damage by ~25% while +100 points will reduce damage by ~50%.

    • Another way to put it: On normal, Barret blocking an attack with 200 Defense + Barrier + Steelskin is probably taking 1/32 damage while on hard he's taking 1/8.
    Upgrading Weapons
    • It is insanely cheap to reset weapons with Chadley. I regret not doing it enough before.

    • All weapons basically fall into categories (Magic, critical hits, defense, speed, etc). Usually, each weapon will have about 2-4 specializations on top of that. So, Clouds Magic Weapon might be able to stack magic attack or MP while Tifas gets cheaper casting costs or elemental bonuses.

    • I've found that maxing out materia slots, and then attack/magic damage, then specific skills are your three priorities with weapons. Hard Mode and this experimenting have taught me that damage and defense are gods.

    • Just think of weapons in terms of what you want people to do. Want Tifa to spam pray? Use Feathered gloves for speed. Want cloud to be a healer? Try Iron Blade for defense, healing bonuses, and mp. See?
    How Tifa works:
    • All three of Tifas unique abilities (along with True Strike) can increase the damage an enemy takes while staggered. Base damage is 160%. Uppercut only increases by 5% so don't bother. Always try to be chi level 3 and always use Tifa first upon staggering. It doesn't matter what build anyone is, this rule is absolute.

    • Chi lvl3 (Rise and Fall) and lvl2 (Omnistrike) do a ton of damage, close distances, and generate ATB for free on top of their intended use. Just remember to restore those chi levels.

    • Tifas base attack is actually just 3 button presses. A single punch that tracks/approaches, a short 3-hit combo, and a powerful 3-hit combo. It generates about 2/3 bar.

    • Chi Level seems to only add buttons to her base combo - it does not increase damage. Level 2 adds two button presses (spin kick + jump kick, then heel smash). Level 3 adds a final ground smash.

    • You can cancel into block out of buttons 1,2, and 4. You have to commit to presses 3, 5, and 6. Each individual attack can be cancelled into Dodge or abilities, though.

    • You can always do uppercut by holding attack (square). This allows you to use the first punch to get inside and guarantee that it lands.

    • Dive Kick is a strong hit that should always be cancelled out of uppercut. Uppercute+Divekick is perfect for finishing off people and crippling parts. There is also slight aoe on the attack.

    • Overpower is a big hit and perfect for repositioning Tifa where you want her to be, running down enemies who have moved away, and can power through many attacks without being interrupted. It can also interrupt and pressure certain enemies during certain attacks.

    • Focused strike is one of the most powerful abilities in the game. It's a Dodge, it's a tracking hit, and it can cancel out of ANY move Tifa has. It does the most stagger damage of all her moves, and it refunds ~75% of the ATB cost when it lands. You can and should combo everything into focused strike, and always try to cancel uppercut into focused strike.

    • Starshower increases the strength of the next ATB ability by ~40%. It's pretty much made for setting up True Strike on a Staggered opponent, but does a lot of damage on its own.

    • Chi Trap pulls in smaller enemies and does around 10 hits. Perfect for crowd control and right spaces. Combine with Blizzard or Aero (which need ppl locked in place to succeed). It is also worth noting that placing Chi Trap under a launched enemy will bounce them in the air until Chi Trap is gone.

    • On a staggered foe: uppercut adds 5%, Omnistrike adds (I think) 20%, Rise and Fall adds (I think) 25%, and True Strike adds 30% damage. In short, spam True Strike (thanks everyone for pointing this out!).
    TL&DR Tifa
    1. Always have 2 bars.

    2. Always be level 2 or 3 chi.

    3. The jab (square) tracks and approaches.

    4. Jab + Uppercut + Focused Strike.

    5. Jab + Uppercut + DiveKick + Uppercut + Focused Strike.

    6. Jab + Uppercut + DiveKick +Chi Trap (best setup for Chi Trap).

    7. Cancel base combo into Overpower + Focused Strike if you expect enemy counterattacks.

    8. (On stagger) True Strike x2 + Rise and Fall + Omnistrike + True Strike x2 (thanks ArcMajor!).

    9. The above combo goes over 300% stagger. Fight Fat Chocobo in Chadleys VR to get the achievement easily.
    Notes on Cloud
    • Operator hit #1 (square) closes huge distances and can be safely cancelled into block. You have to commit to every other basic attack.

    • Punisher mode essentially works out to twice as much damage as operator.

    • Punishers heavy attack (hold square) cast Berserk on cloud for ~20 seconds if the attack hit. Berserk increases damage by ~30% but also increases damage taken.

    • Use punisher switch (triangle) to parry attacks. Then, block for another counteratrack. Then, fast switch back to operator (triangle) and parry again. Master this to generate twice as much ATB, twice as much stagger, and never get knocked down again.

    • Braver is just like Divekick: fast hard damage meant for finishing people off or crippling. It also tracks well.

    • If Triple slash hits the same person more than once it loses damage.

    • Disorder is incredibly good. Its a super hard hit that tracks and switches clouds stance. You can do it twice in a row for a two hit combo, where each hit causes pressured and also refunds ATB. Just to be clear, you can see an attack coming and remotely switch cloud to punisher. The AI will be smart enough to block for a counteratrack and get large ATB/stagger gains. It's brilliant.

    • Counterstance is special because you can cancel any animation into it, and it counters projectiles. This means that you can cancel a counteratrack into counterstance to block 2 fast hits or hits from 2 sources. It doesn't generate ATB but hits multiple times, with a final delayed hit that causes 1 second stun on almost anything. It's your emergency button.
    Note on Barret
    • Because of his constant damage, I've found that luck materia and elemental materia are best suited for him. He's basically a crit machine.
    Notes on Aerith
    • I'll never take Refocus off of her, again.

    • Soul Drain might be the best ability in the game. It does great damage, causes stagger, and drains mp. She can get upwards of 60 mp off a staggered foe.

    • ATB Ward might be the best ability in the game. Someone not named Aerith spamming commands in this ward (who has ATB assist + skill Master) equppied can generate an almost infinite loop of ATB for the entire team.

    • Arcane Ward might be the best ability in the game. Magnify+fire and an HP/MP Absorb + Fire in an arcane ward ideally means 6 Firagas for free.
